The Decision Envelope Arrives
Every meaningful evolution happens quietly before it scales. When we set out to build this platform, our goal wasn't just to add features, but to build an ecosystem that scales elegantly alongside your daily workflows. Today's updates represent a significant milestone toward that seamless future.
What's New
The Decision Envelope
We've completed Phase 2.5 third-party design review of the Decision Envelope specification—reconciling all ten review points into a canonical engineering document. This is our first pre-implementation spec: an immutable, versioned assessment container that binds canonical NOVA, Evidence Confidence, Discovery Breadth, Portfolio Intelligence, and Systemic Risk into a single traceable unit.
The envelope lifecycle is now a proper state machine: pending → calculating → partial → complete → superseded → invalidated → failed. Disposition follows a deterministic static policy with eight outcomes. Audit-facing foreign keys use ON DELETE RESTRICT. Envelope numbers are allocated via advisory lock for concurrency safety.
Portfolio-Aware Ranking
We've added portfolio_adjusted_priority as a new discovery metric. The computation blends NOVA with portfolio fit, evidentiary strength, and breadth—then subtracts redundancy, source concentration, and correlated-agent uncertainty. An 8-query real-data pipeline produces per-component score contributions with full evidence-node traceability. GET and POST endpoints surface this in the Discovery Intelligence workspace with a component-level breakdown and recalculate action.
Audit Budget Allocation
A new finite audit budget is now allocated proportionally to per-candidate risk, with correlation clusters dampened by 1/sqrt(clusterSize). The Verification Coverage indicator flags substantive versus vacuous coverage. Real portfolio_metrics drive candidate risk derivation, and allocations persist to audit_allocations tables.
Shared Venture Action Controls
High-level venture actions (generate, search, persist) are now wired across the dossier, Capital, Discovery Evidence, and IP overview surfaces—all linked to canonical workflow routes with focused interaction coverage.
Program Documentation
We've added and indexed a code-grounded program documentation set under docs/program/: program overview, product principles, system context and data flows, and an implementation-linked glossary.
Event Queue Hygiene
Stale meta_forge.run and research_executor.run events for archived/closed proposals are now bulk-cancelled in a single query at worker startup and periodic health checks—eliminating the 30-second trickle cancellation loops.
All tests pass alongside existing suites. TypeScript and lint are clean.
