Terms of Service

By accessing or using VentureScout ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.

If you do not agree to these terms, you may not access or use the Service.

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.

You must notify us immediately at support@inventionscout.ai of any unauthorized use of your account. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from unauthorized use of your account.

Plan tiers. The Service is offered in multiple subscription tiers. Features, usage limits, and access rights are determined by the active subscription tier on your account.

Payment terms. Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis as selected during signup. All fees are non-refundable except as expressly stated in our refund policy.

Plan changes. Upgrading your plan takes effect immediately. Downgrading your plan takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access to paid features continues until the end of the current billing period. We do not provide prorated refunds for partial billing periods.

Acceptable use. You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these terms. You may not:

• Use the Service to violate any applicable law or regulation
• Attempt to bypass access controls, authentication mechanisms, or plan restrictions
• Scrape, extract, or harvest data from the Service beyond the limits of your plan
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Remove or alter any attribution, copyright, or proprietary notices
• Upload or transmit malware, viruses, or malicious code

Our IP. The Service, including its software, design, branding, and underlying technology, is owned by VentureScout and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse engineer any part of the Service.

Your content. You retain all rights to the content you create, upload, or store within the Service. You grant VentureScout a limited license to process, store, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

Source attribution. VentureScout outputs may include content derived from open access research. Source attribution must be preserved. You are responsible for complying with any applicable licenses or terms of the original sources.

VentureScout outputs, including discoveries, scores, synthesis briefs, and MVP plans, are generated for research evaluation and planning purposes only. They do not constitute:

• Legal, financial, or investment advice
• A guarantee of commercial viability or market success
• An endorsement or recommendation of any specific technology or venture
• A determination of patentability or freedom to operate

You are solely responsible for verifying any outputs and for all decisions made based on those outputs. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VentureScout shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you materially breach these terms and fail to remedy the breach within 14 days of notice. We may also terminate your account for prolonged inactivity or if required by law.

Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases immediately. We will provide a reasonable period for data export before deleting your account data, as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may modify these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or via email. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you may cancel your subscription.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
